Our Story

 

 

Founded in October 2024 by Mark Mahamdallie and Jamie Lovell, Integrator 42 was born from more than 25 years of experience in the audiovisual and building management industries.

 

After years of delivering complex integration projects, Mark and Jamie recognised an opportunity to build a company focused on tailored, intelligent solutions designed around how people actually use their spaces.

 

The name Integrator 42 perfectly captures this philosophy:

 

• “Integrator” represents what we do — bringing together diverse technologies into one seamless system.

• “42” represents the asterisk (*) in ASCII, symbolising anything and everything. Combined, it reflects our ability to integrate anything and everything.

• And as a fun nod, “42” is also known as the meaning of life from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy — Mark’s favourite book and a reminder that technology should make life easier, not more complicated.

 

 

From day one, I-42 has focused on creating systems that work quietly in the background — simplifying control, improving comfort, and making buildings more intelligent.

 

 

 

Our Team

 

 

Integrator 42 is led by directors Mark Mahamdallie and Jamie Lovell, whose combined expertise balances technical precision with a deep commitment to client satisfaction.

 

Mark Mahamdallie is known for building strong client relationships and ensuring total satisfaction — staying engaged until every system is running perfectly. He began his career at BT as a broadband specialist before moving into commercial and residential AV integration, where he developed broad technical expertise and a reputation for reliability.

 

Jamie Lovell focuses on the design and technical integration of BMS and automation systems. Starting out in his own electrical business, Jamie expanded into home automation and smart systems, developing the foundation for the integrated design philosophy at I-42.

 

Together, they’ve built a client-focused, hands-on culture driven by collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence.
